History: Dean hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Being a Mason kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Geoffrey was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.
