Personality: Rolf hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Rolf is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the east. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. A gifted student he started as a Layabout, but he got bored and became a Guard. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and further expansion of business

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He's also a talented Map Maker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father.
