He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting goblins, the young Adam began to lead the lost caravan. After a long history of fighting, Adam and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and sabotage a competitor

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
