History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Jocelyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Jocelyn was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: This man stands a little under 6'3" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears many layers of old clothing at all times. He has a black handlebar mustache and slicked back black hair. His eyes are likewise green.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a deep hatred of illithids

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: Gifted from a young age, Nicholas studied abroad. His necromantic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and retire the richest man in the west

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Henry was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Beggar for the past few years.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.
