History: Born to a Miller, his father struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Thomas was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Thomas's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Thomas and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
