History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gilbert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. Alex enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alex grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His blonde hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He got into the Merchant business at a young age. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Merchant for the past few years.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty pastel coat over it. His chestnut hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Balimaar was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion
