History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Hubert was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and he is greedy

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bounty Hunter and was forced into it by his family.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Roger hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: This late middle aged man wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination and is in decent physical shape. His white hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is a Painter first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He's also a talented Seamstress, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and wants to open a new tavern
