History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
