Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roger fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Adelard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: Adam lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.
