History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. During his travels, Roland and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Roland discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Roland fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: He got into the Bookbinder business at a young age. Cory liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
