History: Simon was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Butcher work with an outfit from a few towns over. Butcher work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He struck the Butcher job and began his own company from there.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Gerald never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
