Description: He is an average looking southern male in his early mid-life. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His hair is long and red with streaks of black, and is pulled back with small red clips. His beard is black, braided, and well cared for. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.
Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.
History: He comes from a rich southern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He hates orcs. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered
History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Bertram alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to orcs.
Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and doesn't want to be a architect and was forced into it by his family
