History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the south. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Bernard was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Bernard decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Layabout business.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

History: Bertram was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Knight work with an outfit from a few towns over. Knight work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
