History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in rapier use. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He got into the Shepherd business at a young age. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting orcs, the young Nicholas began to lead the lost caravan. He has achieved small success as a Shepherd.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His first spouse was a Shipwright, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
