History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Randal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
