Gerard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Peter lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and wants to raise his children well
