History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. His beard is blonde, braided, and well cared for. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bernard is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Kody embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He became a Sailor soon after.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and sabotage a competitor
