History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: He was born in the east. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Cory has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
