History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Detective. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Tanner arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after William was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. William's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
