History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He tends to his Unemployed job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
