He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Richard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Slave Trader work with an outfit from a few towns over. Slave Trader work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
