He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

The war was a terrible time for him, and Ernest does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: The child of a Bricklayer, who enjoyed hunting, Ernest was taken on many hunting expeditions. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He bought a monstrous two handed axe and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
