History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Cory never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. The war was a terrible time for him, and John does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
