History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Percival and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Raymond lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and doesn't want to be a barrister and was forced into it by his family

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Trey was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Trey never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Human compassion; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
