History: Gifted from a young age, Adelard studied abroad. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Adelard. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter.
