History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To be a Barrister again.

History: Born in the south to a Unemployed, Randal learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has achieved small success as a Unemployed.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Adam was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Hugh was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Brewer. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
