History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Lewis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Lewis. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Dilettante kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Peter lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.

History: Patrick hails from a village terrorized by orcs. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.
