Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Born in the north to a Beggar, Nicholas learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Beggar. He tends to his Beggar job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: He got into the Ruler business at a young age. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Ruler.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
