Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. Lance enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Lance was born the youngest of three triplets. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: Ralf is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, Ralf and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and someone believes him a fraud
