His mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Adelard was heart-stricken from the event, and his father started working long hours to provde for them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in the east. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bowyer. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Jocelyn never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: Ralf was born with his father's beautiful face. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
