History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He got into the Fortune-teller business at a young age. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Charles grew up listening to his father's many stories. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He tends to his Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Description: An older man who wears a tight fitting pastel shirt and pants, he is not a threatening figure. His red hair is unkempt and raggedy. His eyes are blue and catlike.

Personality: He is mildly Human supremacist, though he does not identify as such. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Gomory lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
