Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Description: He wears just a grey suit, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'11" when asserting himself. His hair, while still mostly red, has prominent grey streaks. His green eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Gerard isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

History: He got into the Layabout business at a young age. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Layabout. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His childhood dream was to be a Carpenter, but he was a colossal failure. He struck the Server job and began his own company from there.
