History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Nicholas has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Human, and stands approximately 6'0". He wears red robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a flail, but if one is not available he will default to his shortspear, and his gloved hand is found clutching a shortspear. His red hair is singed and shortened. His eyes are blue and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
