Personality: Bernard hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was born in the east. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
