Personality: Bernard hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his singing career. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his singing with anyone who is interested.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has never given up on his singing dream.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to reunite with his absent father

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: He was born in a small desert village. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Architect kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and many illithids want him driven away

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
