Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. Chad is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents enrolled him in a Fighter school at a young age so that he could practice his necromantic talents. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Fletcher they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Butcher, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he has a large grey mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his yellow robe. His tied-back hair is red. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 43. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. The war was a terrible time for him, and Theobald does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He worked as a nervous Sellsword and found it very stressful. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Sellsword for the past few years.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and further expansion of business

Description: He usually wears his tan robe and has his pickaxe always slung over his shoulder, and he perpetually has his pickaxe ready. With bright white hair and a scraggly beard. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bertram embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Bertram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His childhood dream was to be a Ruler, but he was a colossal failure. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: The child of a Banker, who enjoyed hunting, Roger was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
