Description: This malnourished man is well dressed, constantly wearing a green suit, black shirt, and violet tie. He has moderate length red hair. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep amber.
Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.
History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.
History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Description: He wears a brown tunic with green highlights, and long black pants that bunch up around his shoes. He carries with him a set of daggers on his belt, each one with a amber on the hilt. He is bald on top and has large chestnut tufts of hair around his ears. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.
History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Henry fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. His red hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His face is scarred and worn.
Personality: John speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.
History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Spice Merchant kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
