History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. John grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did John. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and to settle down with his crush
