History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Hugh was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Hugh's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
