History: Born in the east to a Carpenter, Richard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Merchant, but he got bored and became a Carpenter. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. At a young age his father died while driving off some dire rats. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in glaive use. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
