History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He struck the Spice Merchant job and began his own company from there.

His attire stands in sharp contrast to his lance, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a butterfly on it. His chestnut hair and beard is wavy and long. His amber eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.
