History: Born to a Marshal, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Knight but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Manfred never married again.
