When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Lance hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Percival isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was born in the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Percival's homeland. Percival decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Percival fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and to share knowledge with the world
