He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Jocelyn was born with his mother's beautiful face. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Jocelyn never married again.
