History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Lance was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Lance fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

His hair is long and silver with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small red clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Cory hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and he wants revenge against illithids

Description: This tall, slender man is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing green cape and mantle trimmed with soft yellow waves gently in the breeze. His auburn hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a Stetson hat. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Description: This fat southern man has a bulbous nose and wears violet robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a whip, but if one is not available he will default to his scimitar. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His golden hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His childhood dream was to be a Carter, but he was a colossal failure. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Fletcher responsibilities is difficult.
