Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Barrister. He's also a talented Performer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Aldous alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. Chad enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Chad was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He struck the Tanner job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and further expansion of business

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Detective.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He worked as a nervous Mason and found it very stressful. He has taken up work as a Mason and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mason responsibilities is difficult; and sabotage a competitor
