One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Justin is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Justin has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
