He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Alex and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
