History: Arnold lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Patrick embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Patrick was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Patrick's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and revenge

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Peter was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
