Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Hugh was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature halberd.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Carter profession.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. After coming to the age of reason, Simon took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He's also a talented Carter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush; and to end his boredom

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Gifted from a young age, Gilbert studied abroad. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. After a long history of fighting, Gilbert and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north.
